Week one: London

Big Ben/Thames RiverNatural History Museum

Walking through the cityTrafalgar Square
From Trafalgar Square to Westminster Abbey, London is nothing short of things to see. The National Museum of Natural History and the British Museum are surprisingly free. Leave most of your day open for the British Museum, as it takes close to 3+ hours to make your rounds. Exploring the city is made easy with the tube, buying an Oyster card is the quickest way to go. You may hop on and off wherever you’d like, and wait times are usually less than 5 minutes. Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, a quick tube ride away, was filled with delicious food, music and drinks. Christmas shops lined the way as you explored its endless fun. Twinkling lights seemed to pave every street while walking through the city. If you are thinking of going to Europe, London is a “must see” on your checklist.

18 Days..

Has anyone ever said that sometimes the lead-up is better than the trip? Well, I don’t think this will be the case in 18 days. We’ve been counting down the days for over a year, and the time is almost here. In 18 days we will embark on the trip of a lifetime… 19 days in Europe! 3 weeks of adventuring and traveling, throughout London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. We will spend Christmas & Boxing Day in London and New Years in Edinburgh. We will tour the cities, “rubbing elbows with locals” and witnessing local traditions for each holiday. Each day feels longer as it gets closer. I am sure those 19 days will fly by, but these next 18 will feel like a lifetime. This trip was planned and booked by Expedition Experts travel group.
